The International Academy for Creative Teaching has been actively involved in research work. The South centre of Lokniti is based at iACT. Lokniti is an All India network of political scientists working in the field of survey based election research (www.lokniti.org). Established in 1995, Lokniti has been actively involved in election related surveys since its establishment. Dr Sandeep Shastri is one of the founder members of Lokniti and has been directing its Karnataka studies since its inception. Dr. Padmavathi joined Lokniti in 2002 and has been its Karnataka coordinator since 2006. A wide range of surveys have been conducted under the Southern centre of Lokniti.
iACT has also been the research centre for the conduct of the Global Integrity Project in India for the last many years (www.globalintegrity.com). The Academy has also coordinated the India segment of the World Values Survey in 2005-7 (www.worldvaluessurvey.com). The Academy has organized several international conferences. These include the Comparative Study of Election Systems Conference on Electoral Processes and Electoral Systems in; a Conference on Federalism and Managing Cities in collaboration with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation which was inaugurated by the then Governor of Karnataka Shri T.N.Chaturvedi; A Conference on the Challenges of Governing Megacities in collaboration with the Forum of Federations on 21-22 October 2008.
